In this session of Broadridge Inspires, we are joined by Vicki Trueman, a counsellor at Thrive Family Singapore, who will introduce us to the concept of mindfulness. She will provide guidance on how we can nurture our ability to be fully present and engaged in the moment. Vicki will show us how to “worry well” by focusing on what we can control and use mindfulness to help manage what we can’t control. By training our moment-to-moment awareness, we will be able to better manage our stress and be productive in these challenging times.
Based in Singapore, Vicki is armed with a Master of Counselling from Monash University, Australia and a MA in Philosophy and Theology from Oxford University. Before training as a counsellor, Vicki practised as a solicitor and has worked in London and Madrid as a corporate lawyer and a business manager. Her experience has given her a good insight into the stress and demands of corporate life and the challenges of raising a family away from home.
