Welcome to our quarterly newsletter. It’s been an exciting couple of months since the last edition. At the beginning of May we announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Broadridge a patent directed to blockchain technology that will enhance the processes for proxy voting and repurchase, or repo, agreements. Read the press release here.

We’ve also had success collaborating with the Taiwan Depository Clearing Corporation (TDCC), to help the Taiwan Stock Market achieve 100 percent e-voting for shareholders, and made two new acquisitions: ActivePath and FundAssist.

Continuing to innovate and growing our capabilities through new acquisitions puts us in a strong position to support our clients in Asia-Pacific region. Find out more about industry trends, opportunities to partner and how we can help transform your business in the content below.

What will operations look like tomorrow?

Tapping in to where operations managers in asset management firms see the biggest opportunities for their business, our latest white paper, created in partnership with the SIFMA Asset Management Group and other industry leaders, presents a view for the future of operations. Eighty percent of operations managers see significant opportunity for innovation in data management; 78 percent see opportunity in collateral management; 69 percent in trade matching and reconciliations; and 62 percent in cash and security settlements. With this in mind, it has never been more important to transform back-, middle- and front-office operations so they can continue to thrive.

Leveraging next-generation technology to drive profitable growth

Partnerships will allow capital markets firms to focus internal efforts on what truly differentiates them from the competition. Find out more about partnership opportunities and how the industry is responding to the four core capital markets challenges in this infographic, or discover how one leading multi-national bank increased operational efficiency and reduced costs and complexity, in our case study.

What’s happening in Asian mutual funds and ETF markets?

Our latest FundFlash report is now available. Take advantage of this information on distribution, product development and sales and marketing to make strategic decisions, effectively allocate resources and accelerate growth. According to the report, “passive investments saw tremendous investor demand in the first quarter, resulting in strong net sales in both ETFs and index-tracking funds”.

Addressing cash management challenges in APAC

Manual processes and lack of visibility into real-time cash balances are impacting industry practitioners every day. In our on-demand webinar, Cash Management: Strategies to Manage Industry-Wide Risks, we take a look at these challenges, as well as the growing pressure of regulatory requirements, and discuss ways to improve cash and liquidity management for treasurers and cash managers in APAC. Understand today’s best practices that meet tomorrow’s challenges.
