Americans Look More to Employers for Financial Wellness

Register for a webinar to learn how you can help Americans save for retirement and grow your business.

The results of a new study conducted by Broadridge and the Center for Generational Kinetics (CGK) found that now more than ever, Americans are looking to employers for financial benefits. Many believe that the current environment will impact their financial wellness for years to come, with 60% of working Americans saying the pandemic has caused them to look much closer at the benefits an employer offers.

CGK, which specializes in generational research that helps firms grow their business, found that increasingly, a majority of working Americans place a greater value on employer-based retirement plans than before the pandemic. In fact, 71% of U.S. workers want employer-based financial wellness programs.

Additional critical findings include:

  • 76% of Gen Z and 62% of Millennials are now more likely to believe that having a financial advisor is worth it.
  • 67% of Americans would look for another job if financial wellness benefits went away.
  • 45% of working Americans and 57% of working Gen Z Americans say learning about financial products and financial wellness is intimidating to them.
