Enhancements to ProxyVote - The Mobile Proxy Voting Experience
Broadridge developed mobile web voting to empower investors of all kinds so that they could exercise their right to vote and participate in the corporate and mutual fund governance process. Our ProxyVoteTM app lets shareholders view and vote for proxies in only a few taps. All they have to do is download the app, create an account, and authenticate their identity; then they can do all of their voting in one convenient place.
Latest enhancements improve on the overall shareholder experience and seek to increase voter participation by:
- An improved design and instructions for a better user experience
- Elimination of the need to enter or scan a control number to vote with email registration and linking of investment accounts
- The ability to adjust preferences and sign up for alerts for upcoming meetings

Rob Vinditti
Senior Director - Proxy Data Analytics and Management
Rob has been with Broadridge since 2006 and has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Rob is a strategic leader with a keen ability to analyze, identify and implement solicitation strategies resulting in increased voter participation and successful campaign passage. He also plays a significant role in strategic initiatives designed to promote the mutual fund proxy division from a business development and thought leadership perspective.
What does a proxy data analyst do? We analyze the funds’ shareholder base in order to determine the complexity of a proxy campaign and use that analysis to build a strategy for getting the proposals to passage.
What has been your favorite Product/Project at Broadridge? I’m currently part of a team that’s working on developing enhanced analytics using shareholder voting history and potentially shareholder demographics. Traditionally we’ve had very little insight into the shareholders themselves and this will allow us to better assess complexity of campaigns up front and build and execute on a more effective, intelligent strategy during the campaign.
Do you have any advice based on the trends, changes over the years? A trend that stands out to everyone in the proxy industry is that retail shareholders vote at a lower rate than we need them to, so we need to continue to develop products, strategies and messaging to improve the vote returns from those that today are least likely to vote.
