Broadridge Named One of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State for the 5th Consecutive Year

LAKE SUCCESS, New York -- January 4, 2012 - Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:BR) today announced that it has been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State for the 5th consecutive year.  The annual statewide survey and awards program identifies, recognizes and honors New York’s best places of employment that are benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.

Broadridge has created an inclusive and performance-oriented culture that provides associates with the resources to excel professionally, advance in their careers, and deliver exceptional value to clients.

Diversity and inclusion and leadership development are a particular emphasis in Broadridge’s talent management strategy.  The commitment to diversity and inclusion enhances Broadridge’s creativity, productivity, and ability to manage change.  In an increasingly diverse world of customers and associates, inclusiveness increases the retention rate of associates and clients and builds better relations with the communities in which Broadridge operates.

Broadridge’s talent development initiatives include its Leaders’ University and its unique Vision Team/Peer Group program.  The University is a company-wide instructional and mentoring program that nurtures associates transferring into new leadership roles.  The Vision Team/Peer Group program engages all managers globally in continuous leadership development via eight live, interactive programs each year.  Broadridge collaborates with Harvard University to develop the programs which are facilitated by line business leaders.

All associates can also develop individually through a range of career planning programs, while enhancing organizational effectiveness.

“Talent is a strategic advantage for Broadridge,” said John Hogan, President and Chief Operating Officer, Broadridge. “Our investment in people allows Broadridge to deliver high quality services to the financial services industry to support our continued growth.”

Broadridge employs nearly 2,000 associates in New York State and 5,900 associates worldwide.  Broadridge maintains five offices in New York: its corporate headquarters in Lake Success; two major operations centers in Edgewood; and two offices in New York City.

Best Companies to Work for in New York is a program of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM) in partnership with The Business Council of New York and is sponsored by Jackson Lewis, LLP.  For additional information about the award and a list of the previous year’s winners, visit www.BestCompaniesNY.com.

Employers from across the state entered the two-part process, including an evaluation of each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics and also an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Best Companies Group used the combined evaluation and survey scores, and their expertise, to determine the final rankings.
