Alert: Important Update Regarding USPS Delays

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is experiencing staffing issues due to the pandemic, as well as extremely high peak volumes from packages causing delays in processing in many areas around the country. There is a backlog of trucks containing mail and/or packages taking longer than normal to be unloaded at some processing locations. Unloading times of 2 hours up to 48 hours have been reported. This issue is causing delays in mail delivery for First-Class Mail, Marketing Mail, Priority Mail and Packages.

The USPS has indicated the locations impacted are throughout the country in more populated locations. Broadridge is in contact with USPS leadership. They assure us that they are doing everything they can to keep the mail moving and delivered.

The Postal Service has posted the following statement on their Service Alerts web site: "USPS is experiencing unprecedented volume increases and limited employee availability due to the impacts of COVID-19. We appreciate your patience and remain committed to delivering the holidays to you." More information can be found here.

Please contact your Broadridge Customer Communications client relations representative if you have questions regarding mail delivery.
