Access the key findings

We are pleased to share the key findings from the US treasury central clearing pulse survey 2026, conducted in June in partnership with Value Exchange, SIFMA, DTCC, and BNY.

Based on responses from 340 experts worldwide, the research provides an updated view of how firms are progressing as mandatory US Treasury clearing approaches.

Read the full key findings to understand:

  • how far firms have moved from planning into execution
  • why readiness differs across buy-side and sell-side firms
  • who remains at risk of missing the deadline
  • how firms are approaching the cost of implementation
  • where regulatory clarity remains a challenge

A few key insights are:

87%
are at least somewhat confident of meeting the mandate, yet only 3% say they are fully ready
82%
are in execution mode for repo trades
13%
are at risk of missing the repo deadline, with buy-side firms twice as likely as sell-side
50%
expect ongoing costs to rise

The findings capture an industry moving into execution but highlight where readiness, cost and implementation challenges remain.
