Broadridge Named One of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State for the Seventh Consecutive Year

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., May 12, 2014 - Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:BR) today announced that it has been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State. This marks the seventh consecutive year that Broadridge received this distinction and it is one of only four companies that have been recognized each year since the program’s inception.

The annual statewide survey and awards program identifies, recognizes and honors New York’s best places of employment based on employee satisfaction, as well as workplace practices and policies.

“To be one of only four companies recognized for the seventh consecutive year is a great honor. We’re enormously proud that we’ve repeatedly been voted a great place to work, and we recognize that it’s all due to our associates,” said Tim Gokey, Chief Operating Officer, Broadridge. He added, “We are committed to fostering an inclusive and performance-oriented culture to ensure that Broadridge remains a place where talented people want to work and thrive because their contributions are encouraged and appreciated.”

This year Broadridge also received a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI) 2014 for the second consecutive year. The CEI is the premiere national benchmark on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees.

Leveraging diversity and fostering an inclusive work environment is a high priority for Broadridge; it enhances the firm’s creativity, productivity and ability to manage change. Broadridge employs nearly 2,000 associates in New York State and 6,400 associates worldwide.  The firm maintains five offices in New York: its corporate headquarters in Lake Success; two major operations centers in Edgewood; and two offices in New York City.

Best Companies to Work for in New York is a program of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM) in partnership with The Business Council of New York and is sponsored by Jackson Lewis, LLP and Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan (CDPHP®).  For additional information about the award and a list of the previous years’ winners, visit

Employers from across the state entered the two-part process, including an evaluation of each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, and also an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Best Companies Group used the combined evaluation and survey scores, and their expertise, to determine the final rankings.
