SIS offers a number of tools that let you quickly and easily access your firm's data.

Advantage Database

Advantage is a relational database that contains a subset of the information stored on SIS mainframe system. Operating in real-time, Advantage allows clients convenient access to their customer account data, even in multiple-branch environments. Advantage gives your firm the ability to design highly specialized reports and applications through the use of structured query language (SQL). For example, firms can manage data supplied through Advantage to create customized options trading surveillance reports, assets-under-management reports and new account reports by balance, trading activity and timeframe.

SiSConnect

SiSConnect is a web-enabled API that allows firms to connect their customized front-end applications directly to SIS back office servers in real-time. SiSConnect is similar to traditional transaction upload processes, except the connection is real-time (rather than batch), and the connection is via the Web.

Data Retrieval Interface

The Data Retrieval Interface allows clients to extract customer account information directly from SIS database(s) on a real-time basis over a TCP/IP network. Firms can obtain information from the customer master, name and address, positions, open orders, and account activity files. The 24 x7 interface can be used to support Internet trading or other applications in which up-to-the minute accuracy is critical.

Data Downloads

SIS's data download capability provides firms with a variety of transaction information. Downloads are commonly used to interface with external applications, such as portfolio systems, or to produce management or decision support reports that are unique to each firm.

Downloads can be customized as required for firm-defined applications. The files are entry sequenced, ASCII format, 336 or 380 characters in length, and may be transmitted daily and/or weekly depending on the file, and the client’s application. Some of the available files include:
