Postal Updates

The USPS rate increase is 6% (4.3% exigent and 1.7% inflation based rate increase) which goes into effect
Jan 26, 2014. Outlined below are highlights of the most recent postal service changes:

  • 1st Class Single piece Letters (1 oz.) has a 3 cent increase to 49 cents.
  • 1st Class Letters second ounce for presorted letters will be free and the Single Piece is not free.
  • 1st Class Postcards have increased 1 cent to 34 cents.
  • Priority Mail overall has increased 2.4%. Priority Flat Rate is staying at $4.95.
  • The price increase for Standard Mail is 6%.
