Why did you decide to join Broadridge? I decided to join ADP/Broadridge because of its market leadership position in providing technology solutions to the brokerage industry. Tell us your Broadridge story… I started in 1999 as the VP, BPS Steering Committee Liaison and only stayed in this capacity for a brief period of time. I misunderstood the job responsibilities and did not find it challenging enough. However, while training for the Steering Committee job, I also assumed responsibility for establishing ADP’s corporate position to the Global Straight-Thru Processing Association. While serving in this capacity, Rich Daly – via the current head of Strategy, Clarke Gray – was able to assess my strategic leadership value and at the end of calendar 1999, he requested I lead the conversion efforts of our first fixed income client onto the Global Processing Solution platform. While the conversion was nearing an end, Rich Daly requested I assume a role within the newly formed Sales organization to "provide structure" – I moved on to create the Sales Operations function at the start of FY’01. While in Sales Operations, I was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer of the Sales Division – as the function grew beyond Bank and Broker Dealer to include all market segments of our business lines. By the start of FY’05, we were moving on to our third Chief Sales Officer and were closing on the correspondent clearing acquisitions. I advised Rich Daly & John Hogan that I felt my career in Sales Ops had plateaued and we agreed I should assume a direct role in sales leadership running the Fully Disclosed BD Sales team. At the start of FY’09, I transitioned from Sales Leadership into Strategy to be part of the Business Builders Program. Today, I am in the process of launching our Investor On-Boarding Solution and will be the business owner for this product line. Why do you like working for Broadridge? Nearly all exempt personnel are treated as executives and are able to work from home on occasion. This flexibility is critical in today’s day and age as I’m highly effective at home and expect this flexibility for the extra hours we dedicate to work.
